Role Title: Credit Control Administrator – Full Time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Purpose of the Role:

Working with the Credit Control Team Leader to collect overdue balances, ensuring company debt levels are kept within targeted parameters and assist with the day to day running of the department.

Reporting to: Credit Control Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:

·       Contacting customers via telephone and email to collect outstanding debts

·       Maintenance of credit control records, ensuring notes and contact details are accurate and up to date at all times

·       Managing a busy portfolio of customers, building relationships to help recover debt and resolve queries

·       Resolve invoice queries with internal teams and external customers and monitoring, to ensure the query is followed through to resolution.

·       Manage internal credit requests for accounts on stop or over their credit limit, that require further work or supply of parts, referring to the relevant authorised person in a timely manner.

·       Processing & reconciliation of bank/cheque payments, swiftly and accurately.

·       Taking customer payments via credit card over the phone and posting to their account.

·       Ensure monthly statements and credit control letters are sent out to all customers, in line with the agreed time frames

 

Key Competencies:

 

·       Proven track record in a similar credit control position

·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

·       Excellent time management

·       High attention to detail and numerical accuracy

·       Able to work on your own initiative, take ownership and work effectively under pressure

·       The ability to identify and escalate any issues of concern

·       Knowledge of risk awareness and control

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

·       Working experience of accounting software
